D Pharmacy Hospital Visit 2025 at Government Hospital Phaltan

D Pharmacy Hospital Visit 2025 was organized by Phaltan Education Society’s College of Pharmacy & Research Center, Phaltan for First Year D. Pharmacy students at Government Hospital, Phaltan, on 18 February 2025 during the Academic Year 2024–25.

The D Pharmacy Hospital Visit 2025 introduced students to hospital operations, patient care services, different clinical departments, generic medicines, the hospital store, and vaccination services. Students received direct exposure to the functioning of a government healthcare facility and learned about several pharmacy-related services in a hospital environment.

The visit was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Anushuman Dhumal, Medical Superintendent, with Prof. P. K. Kadam serving as the faculty coordinator. The organizing committee included Principal Dr. Vikram Tanaji Deshmukh, Prof. Priya Kiran Kadam, and First Year Diploma Pharmacy staff members.

Objective of D Pharmacy Hospital Visit 2025

The main objective of the D Pharmacy Hospital Visit 2025 was to familiarize First Year D. Pharmacy students with the functioning of a hospital and its various healthcare services.

Students visited different hospital departments and observed services related to patient care, medicines, vaccination, and the hospital store. The activity gave students an opportunity to understand the working environment of Government Hospital, Phaltan and interact with healthcare professionals.

Visit to Different Departments of Government Hospital

During the hospital visit, students were introduced to various departments and services available at Government Hospital, Phaltan.

Students visited the Emergency Room, Outpatient Department (OPD), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Operating Room. This gave them an overview of how different sections of a hospital are organized according to patient requirements.

The OPD demonstrated how patients receive consultation and routine medical services, while the Emergency Room introduced students to facilities designed for urgent medical situations. The ICU and Operating Room provided further insight into specialized areas of hospital care.

Visiting these departments helped students understand the structure and working environment of a government hospital.

Visit to the Vaccination Department

Students also visited the Vaccination Department as part of the programme.

Mr. Kiran Taklae provided students with detailed information about generic medicines and interacted with them during the session.

Mr. Ganesh Lawand shared detailed information with the students about the hospital store and its functioning.
