Rangoli & Sketch Competition Celebrated on World Pharmacists Day 2025 at PESCOP Phaltan
Phaltan Education Society’s College of Pharmacy & Research Center, Phaltan organized a vibrant Rangoli & Sketch Competition on the occasion of World Pharmacists Day on 25 September 2025. The activity provided B.Pharm and D.Pharm students with an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity while spreading awareness about the important role of pharmacists in healthcare and society.
The competition was organized as part of the college’s academic and co-curricular activities for the Academic Year 2025–2026. A total of 60 B.Pharm and D.Pharm students participated enthusiastically in the program.

World Pharmacists Day Celebration at PESCOP Phaltan
The program commenced with an address by the Principal, Dr. Deshmukh V. T., who explained the significance of World Pharmacists Day and highlighted the valuable contribution pharmacists make to healthcare.
The theme associated with the program was “Think Health Think Pharmacist.” Through the celebration, students were encouraged to understand that pharmacists are an essential part of the healthcare system and have important responsibilities related to medicines and patient care.
An important part of the program was the administration of the Pharmacist’s Oath. Students participated in the oath, reinforcing the professional values and responsibilities associated with the pharmacy profession.
Creativity Meets Pharmacy Awareness
The Rangoli and Sketch Competition was designed to combine artistic creativity with professional awareness. Instead of treating the activity only as an art competition, students were encouraged to communicate pharmacy and healthcare-related messages through their work.
Students created attractive rangoli designs and sketches based on themes connected with pharmacists, medicines, healthcare and the importance of the pharmacy profession.
The activity created a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere on campus. It also gave students a platform beyond regular classroom learning to express ideas visually and creatively.

Rangoli Competition and Evaluation
Students enthusiastically prepared colourful rangoli designs connected with pharmacy and healthcare awareness. The event report photographs show students working on their designs as well as the subsequent evaluation of the completed entries.
The judges evaluated the competition entries on important criteria including creativity, relevance to the theme and overall presentation. This encouraged students to focus not only on artistic quality but also on how effectively their work communicated the intended message.
Such activities contribute to the overall development of students by promoting creativity, teamwork, communication and participation alongside professional education.
Sketch Competition Showcased Student Talent
The Sketch Competition was another major attraction of the World Pharmacists Day celebration. Students created a variety of sketches highlighting pharmacists, healthcare, medicines and World Pharmacists Day.
The activity report photographs show several student artworks featuring pharmacy-related symbols and healthcare messages. These sketches demonstrated how visual art can be used to communicate the importance of pharmacists and create awareness about healthcare.

Active Participation of B.Pharm and D.Pharm Students
The competition witnessed the participation of 60 students from B.Pharm and D.Pharm courses. Their enthusiastic involvement made the activity engaging and successful.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Deshmukh V. T. The activity in-charges were Prof. Amruta S. Kavitake and Prof. Nikhita G. Kale, while Prof. Kavitake A. S. and Prof. Kale N. G. are listed as program coordinators in the activity report.
The combined involvement of faculty members and students helped make the event a meaningful celebration of World Pharmacists Day.
