Carrom Competition 2026 Organized at College of Pharmacy & Research Center, Phaltan

Phaltan Education Society’s College of Pharmacy & Research Center, Phaltan organized a Carrom Competition on 23 March 2026 for D. Pharmacy students as part of its student development and co-curricular activities. The one-day competition was conducted in the Seminar Hall of the College of Pharmacy & Research Center, Phaltan, with enthusiastic participation from students.

A total of 50 D. Pharm students participated in the competition. The activity was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Kavitake A. S., Activity In-charge. The event provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate concentration, accuracy, patience, strategic thinking, and sportsmanship outside their regular academic activities.

Enthusiastic Participation in Carrom Competition 2026

The Carrom Competition 2026 at PESCO Pharmacy Phaltan received enthusiastic participation from D. Pharmacy students. Students competed with one another while following standard carrom rules.

Faculty members and student volunteers observed the games to help ensure fair play throughout the competition. The event created an engaging environment where students could enjoy healthy competition while interacting with their classmates.

The activity demonstrated the importance of providing students with opportunities beyond classroom learning. Along with professional education, participation in sports and recreational activities can encourage students to develop confidence, discipline, teamwork, decision-making skills, and a positive competitive spirit.

Singles and Doubles Carrom Matches

The competition included both singles and doubles matches, giving students opportunities to demonstrate individual skills as well as coordination with teammates.

The competition progressed through elimination rounds, semifinals, and finals. Proper scoring and time management were maintained during the matches. This structured format helped make the competition organized and engaging for participants.

Carrom requires players to maintain concentration and make strategic decisions throughout a match. Students therefore had an opportunity to test not only their playing skills but also their patience and ability to perform in a competitive environment.

Encouraging Fair Play and Sportsmanship

An important objective of student sports activities is to promote a spirit of fair play and sportsmanship. During the Carrom Competition, matches were conducted according to standard rules, while faculty members and student volunteers helped oversee the games.

Winning a competition is an achievement, but learning to respect opponents, follow rules, accept results positively, and participate with discipline is equally valuable for students.

Such activities can contribute to a positive campus environment by encouraging interaction and participation among students.

Winners and Runners-Up Recognized

Following the elimination rounds, semifinals, and final matches, the winners and runners-up were selected based on their performance. Prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners in recognition of their achievement.

The competition provided participants with a platform to showcase their abilities and motivated students to participate actively in future college activities.

The photographs captured during the event also reflect the active involvement of students around the carrom board, highlighting the competitive and interactive nature of the activity.
