Celebrating the Diversity of Indian Culture
One of the main objectives of Traditional Day was to create awareness among students about Indian culture and heritage. India is known for its diversity in languages, clothing, traditions, customs, food and festivals. Such cultural activities help young students understand and respect this diversity.
Participants represented traditions from different parts of the country, including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab and South Indian states. Students had the opportunity to showcase traditional dresses while also explaining their cultural significance.
The event therefore went beyond simply wearing traditional clothes. It provided students with an opportunity to learn about different communities and understand how traditional attire represents the history and identity of various regions.

Cultural activities have an important role in the overall development of students. While pharmacy education develops scientific and professional knowledge, participation in extracurricular activities can help students develop communication, confidence, teamwork, creativity and presentation skills.
